A Day at School

As a Waldorf Pre-School, the days are filled with nourishing activities that allow your child’s natural creativity and imaginative abilities to blossom and flourish. A large part of the morning is spent in creative free play, where they get to do what they do best: play. We do watercolor painting, bread making, seasonal crafts, and weekly walks as part of this time. Circle time follows creative free play time. This is a time to follow me as we go on an imaginative movement journey. Then it is snack time (yum!), followed by outside playtime. Coming in from outside leads us to story time and then lunch together before pick-up.

The curriculum of a Waldorf Pre-School revolves around the seasons of the year and creating a rhythm within those seasons. Our circle times, stories, and crafts flow and change along with the changes in our natural world. Celebrating the festivals of the year is an important aspect of our time together. Your child will get to experience many festivals, both Christian and International, throughout the school year. Experiencing the seasons and festivals gives children a sense of rhythm in their lives, which is so important to young children.
